I live 40 miles from Chicago Northwest Suburb of IL. Would you know any colleague in this area that may assist my daughter with stabilizing her mood and suicidal thoughts holistically. The anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers where not helping at all. My 23 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed with Bi-P this year in 2010. Since 12 yrs of age she has had symptoms of depression along with what we thought was an eating disorder as she would begin to exercise and drop about 15-20 lbs in 2 months. She would be extremely depressed/suicidal and then delusional. She was hospitalized at age 12 , 17 for this put on different ( they diagnosed her with Cylothemia at that time) anti-psychotics/antidepressants then would be off for the next 5 yrs till 23 when she started losing weight, increasing in her exercise for hours and then became for the first time manic in Feb 2010. She did have some signs of hyperactivity that we noticed starting in Nov 2009. She was hospitalized in Feb/March and had attempted various mood stabilizers and anti-psychotics. Last taken was Saphris and started on Lithium carbonate 600mg. I noticed that she was doing better on the Lith as she only took it for 3 weeks. She came off of this abruptly on 10/22. I took her to a holistic nutritionist that put her on a high protein diet and Aqueous Zinc , Li-Zyme-Biotics, Fe, Vitamin C, Co-Enzyme B complex-Protocol, PH Stabilizer-Desert Biologicals Rehydration- Energetix ( Adrenal, Gaba, Coffea acruda). She has been defiant about the high protein diet and continues to take diet carbonated beverages. Need someone in your line of expertise that I can take her in the Northwest Sub of IL ( Algonquin, IL) Dr. Ettinger,
