My son Alex started having breathing problems at 4 months of age. You could hear the congestion in his nose and the rattle in his chest. By 5 months he developed pneumonia. Alex was referred to by his pediatrician to a specialist at St Joseph’s hospital, who placed him on a few put him on multiple medications.

At 7 months, Alex developed bronchiolitis (def. swelling and mucus buildup in the smallest air passages in the lungs (bronchioles), usually due to a viral infection). Again, he was seen by the specialist and put on more meds. Also, Alex had 3 double ear infections and 5 single ear infections with in 8 months of age.

Our baby has endured being forcefully held down so that the x-rays could be taken, vials and vials of blood taken from him for testing, etc… The specialist diagnosed him with chronic sinusitis, allergies and asthma.

Alex has been prescribed the following by his previous doctors: Prednisone 2x/day, Pulmicort 3x/day, Albuterol, 2x/day, Nasonex, Augmentin, and Orapred. We did see improvement for a week or so but the symptoms always returned and the same rounds of medications were prescribed over and over again. I would get-up at 5:00am to give him his breathing treatments and would drive home from work at lunch so I could give him his mid-day breathing treatment. These breathing treatments, alone, took 40 minutes to administer 3x/day.

We had our first visit with Dr. Ettinger, on May 4th, after being highly recommended by a close friend. Within 2 weeks of under Dr. Ettinger’s care, Alex was taken off all medications listed above. He has been in Dr. Ettinger’s care for about 2 months now and his breathing problems have disappeared.

Previously, a cold to Alex was a guarantee for major medications. Now, no more waiting days to get a Dr’s appointment, no more endless waits in a waiting room, full of sick children and no more trips to urgent care at 2:00am.

Alex is now a happy 10 month old. I can’t tell you how stressful our life was before meeting Dr. Ettinger. I highly recommend Dr. Ettinger and deeply thank him for all his help. Dr. Ettinger’s approach has been a complete success.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Gonzales

The previous chiropractors I’ve been to, for some reason, couldn’t ever get my neck to adjust. I came to Dr. Ettinger and it was amazing how good he gets it to go. Even the lower back – he does it perfectly.

I’ve been to Dr’s that would do table-drops to adjust my lower back and MAN, that just made it worse! This just confirms that there are many chiropractors that do not know how to do their work right. Maybe, you just have to be born with the gift and Dr. Ettinger is one of the “chosen few” born with such a gift.

When I get a migraine, I come right in, he adjusts me, and the migraine INSTANTLY goes away. Dr. Ettinger is the answer to my chiropractic prayers, a true miracle.

Thank you Dr. Ettinger, you are #1 in my book.

Don’t let the Medical Doctors foo you by giving you drugs!

I would like to thank Dr. Marcus Ettinger for explaining to me what arthritis and autoimmune conditions really were, and how they can affect the body. Basically, these conditions can start from a build-up of toxins, which settle in the joints or other tissues, causing pain, inflammation, stiffness and the potential for a wrong targeting of the immune system toward the synovial membranes or other body tissues. To get rid of arthritis or autoimmune conditions, you need to thoroughly clean and detox your body.

Dr. Ettinger helped me build a program to stop what was causing my Reactive Arthritis (Reiter’s Syndrome) from attacking and destroying my body, and helped me repair my immune system to such a high degree that my body could actually heal itself. Note: My Reactive Arthritis was so bad that it was eating away the joints of my toes and causing permanent deformity. Luckily, I am constantly healing and rebuilding my bones back to normal.

With Dr. Ettinger as my health coach, here are the steps I took to cure my Reactive Arthritis (Reiter’s Syndrome):

1. First I stopped taking all of my medications: methotrexate, prednisone, even aspirin. Medications only temporarily relieve the symptoms and ultimately weaken the immune system. To get to the real problem you need to clean the body and let the immune system do its job – heal the body.

2. I followed the Gerson Method, every day, of juicing and coffee retention enemas. After 30 days of this I progressed to eating only natural foods, never processed or refined. I kept the juicing in.

3. Chiropractic adjustments helped my body stay in alignment and helped my nervous system to function properly.

4. I took specific supplements, herbs and homeopathic remedies.

5. I did a sauna detoxification program to help rid my body of stored toxins.

Again, I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ettinger for showing me the right path toward another chance at life. If it wasn’t for Dr. Ettinger, I would still be taking useless medications and going down a dwindling spiral toward pain, deformity and uncertainty about the quality of life I would live. At the rate my condition was progressing, I would have been in a wheel chair in a year or so. Instead, I’m 100% cured, and it was all done naturally.

P.S. If anyone does not believe this letter or would like to ask me a question, please call me (714) 832-xxxx* and I will be happy to talk with you.

Thank you Dr. Ettinger,

Book Description

An amazing true story of how one man went against the traditional medical treatment for incurable arthritis and found himself on an incredible journey into the world of natural health. In this personal story, his journey will be explained step-by-step showing you how his body went from the stages of rapidly deteriorating joints, to abandoning his medication and switching to a natural program, and finally to defeating his arthritis and becoming symptom free for over 10 years. In Stop Arthritis, his entire program will be revealed to you so that you can, not just cope with arthritis, but defeat it!

Why should my infant, child or teen receive chiropractic adjustments?

Spinal dysfunction or nerve irritation can occur at any age, causing pain and negatively impacting our health, well-being and vitality. Most spinal, muscular and joint problems seen in adults have their genesis in traumas, large and small, that occurred in childhood. Chiropractic manipulation/adjustments of the spine and peripheral joints improve both function and form, thereby optimizing the body’s innate ability to heal and thrive. Each and every stage of our life subjects us to a variety of situations and stresses, which may create spinal dysfunction and nerve irritation. Chiropractic is one of the safest and most effective antidotes to the stresses and traumas we face every day. Chiropractic care is for the entire family.

Chiropractic is for Infants

In addition to the birthing process (c-section, vaginal, breach or forceps assisted), infants may suffer spinal and/or spinal nerve dysfunction due to the simple, daily strain of holding their head up, as well as from the tumbles and falls that occur when they first start exploring and experiencing their new world.

Common conditions in infants that benefit from chiropractic:

Colic

Irritability (fussiness)

Constipation

Recurring ear infections

Some respiratory conditions

Chiropractic is for Children

Children can suffer various injuries from contact sports, falling off a bike or other slips and falls. They may also have poor posture from sitting improperly at school, watching television or playing video games. In addition, children often suffer back strain from over-loaded back packs (packs should never exceed 15% of your child’s weight).

Common conditions in children that benefit from chiropractic:

Asthma and some Allergies

Bed wetting

Constipation

Frequent colds

Growing pains or painful joints

Headaches (migraines)

Poor concentration (ADD/ADHD)

Postural problems

Scoliosis

Sinus problems

Stomach aches or poor appetite

Chiropractic is for Teens

Teens often suffer from the same traumas and stresses they did as a child plus the additional emotional stress and hormonal changes associated with puberty. Trauma combined with the social pressures, teens face daily, due to the aberrated perpetuation of false truths by TV and print media – we now have a situation that is sure to create spinal and nerve irritation. Physical and emotional stress affects the body in a negative manner. Chiropractic manipulation/adjustments can help to support the innate ability of the body to adapt and heal. “In 21 years of treating patients, I have had the wonderful opportunity of treating infants who are now grown, young adults. These patients, more than any others I have, are healthier and have a greater sense of well-being. Without being prejudice, I truly feel it is due to chiropractic and living with the knowledge of chiropractic philosophy.”

Q: At what age should I take my child to see a chiropractor for evaluation?

A child will benefit from chiropractic care at any age. “In fact, my daughter Maile received her first chiropractic adjustment just moments after she was born.” Bring your child in with you for a complementary evaluation to see if they may benefit from everything chiropractic has to offer.

Q: Do you adjust a child differently than you do an adult?

“Yes. As a 21 year practicing chiropractor, I will modify my adjusting technique based on your child’s size and specific condition. The force is lighter and the response to chiropractic manipulation/adjustments is even faster than with my adult patients. Infants, children and teens have spines that are more flexible than those of my adult patients. This means that my younger patients often require less frequent chiropractic manipulation/adjustments, and respond much quicker to chiropractic care.”

Q: When do we experience our first “spinal dysfunction”?

A vast body or research has been done on the benefits of chiropractic care for children. It is believed that many children may suffer their first spinal problems as a result of the birth process. The process of going through the birth canal and in some cases, the additional strains of forceps or vacuum extractions may put undue stress on the fragile muscles, joints and spinal nerves of an infant’s neck. Left uncorrected, this can lead to abnormal spinal mechanics and nerve irritation, which can affect the overall well-being of the child perpetuating into adulthood.

Trigger Point Therapy, The Technique That Helped JFK’s Back
by John Zlatic, 1989

The majority of this article is original. I have made minor corrections where a medical term was used incorrectly or where another term would be more appropriate. I have also added some additional material, which I feel enhances the article but does not alter the original theme or intent.

Dr. Janet Travell, the first woman ever to serve as White House Physician, takes a large portion of the credit for modern Trigger Point Therapy, the technique that helped JFK’s painful back.

It was 1952 and the voters of Massachusetts chose a Navy war hero as their representative in the United States Senate. The handsome young Senator had connections, charisma, sharp wits and a determined vision that would lead him to the White House. But young Senator John F. Kennedy also had a bad back. And though many Americans are aware that Kennedy had back problems, he wasn’t one to publicize the severity of his injuries. Kennedy originally injured his back in 1939 and strained it further when a Japanese destroyer rammed and sank the WWII torpedo boat, PT-109 he commanded, hurling him across the deck.A disc operation in 1944 and a spinal fusion in 1954 failed to provide permanent relief from his left-sided back pain, which made it nearly impossible for him to bear weight on his left foot. An old football injury hampered the bending of his right knee. Unable at times to put weight on either foot, Kennedy’s crutches became a familiar sight in the U.S. Senate chambers. Both Kennedy and his crutches disappeared in late 1954, however, when complications from his back surgery forced the hard-working Senator to take a seven-month leave of absence.

Health Restored

At 37 years old, pale and anemic with an adrenal insufficiency (Addison’ disease) and restricted range of motion in his aching back, neck and legs, Kennedy failed to fit the picture of a potential presidential candidate. In and out of doctors’ offices for month after month, there seemed no help… even for a man well able to afford the very best medical care. But somehow in the months following his 38th birthday, Kennedy’s health improved considerably. In the ensuing presidential race, he soon was arguing that “the White House needs a young man of strength, health and vigor.”

What happened to the crutches? The bad back? What treatment proved effective enough to convince political opponents and the probing press that a man recently dependent on crutches was now physically fit for the Presidency? How was the ailing JFK revitalized? A large, if not predominant, portion of the credit belongs to Dr. Janet Travell — mother, teacher, research pioneer and, as personal physician to both Presidents’ Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, the first woman ever to serve as White House Physician. Except for her White House tenures, Travell, now 87, focused her efforts during the last half century on the diagnosis and treatment of pain syndromes due to “trigger points.”

Dr. Janet Travell’s Trigger Point Therapy

In 1955, JFK found Travell’s Trigger Point Therapy a godsend for his aching muscles. Today, the patients of many doctors, chiropractors, dentists, physical therapists, myotherapists and massage therapists are benefiting from the research of Travell and others.

Trigger Point Therapy is safe and effective in alleviating myofascial pain and syndromes that erroneously, or by default, become categorized under such headings as tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, dysmennorhea, TMJ, fibrositis, trick knee, whiplash, etc. Mainstream clinical research has shown that trigger points are often responsible for headaches, muscle weakness and pain, restricted range of motion, tearing, sweating, salivation, dizziness and blurred vision.

Kennedy sought Travell’s help during his sick leave from the Senate, which he spent writing Profiles in Courage. “I met Jack Kennedy when he was a junior senator from Massachusetts,” Travell explained following one of her well-attended seminars in Palm Springs. “He had war wounds and was on crutches for so long he had calluses under his armpits. I got him off those crutches and when he asked me to go to the White House with him, well… I didn’t think I could say no.”

Travell declines to detail President Kennedy’s personal medical file. But with her ongoing research, writing and seminars, she tirelessly continues to honor the late president’s wish that she teach others the therapy he found so helpful. And she has, at least in major medical research journals. Since her first collaborative research paper that appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1942, Travell’s name has appeared at the top of some 50 major reports on the mechanics and treatment of pain caused by trigger points. These tender spots in muscles (and other types of tissue) are extremely sensitive to touch and possess the nasty ability to refer pain and other symptoms and sensation to distant parts of the body. For instance, the all-too-common trigger points in the muscle between the neck and shoulder (the trapezius) often send pain shooting up back of the neck, around the ear and above the eye.

Mapping Trigger Points

Over the decades of observing thousands of patients, Travell and other researchers have compiled maps of the most common TPs and the areas to which they refer pain. For instance, Travell discovered that common trigger points in the sternocleidomastoid (the major neck muscle) refer pain to select areas of the head and are sometimes responsible for the “morning-after” hangover headache. TPs in the neck’s scalene muscles can irritate nerves that send pain, tingling or numbness down the arm of the same side. Trigger points in the levator scapulae muscle are most often the culprits of a “stiff neck.”

The referred pain from TPs, which usually fail to follow “normal” neural pathways, may travel a considerable distance. For example, pressing on a TP in the calf of the lower leg (the soleus muscle) can reproduce a patient’s nagging pain and tenderness in the lower back, directly over the sacroiliac joint. Trigger points in the abdomen, pelvic area and legs also are responsible for several common back pains. By inactivating the trigger points bothering Kennedy’s back and then preventing their reoccurrence by prescribing proper exercise, footwear and seating (she revolutionized the rocking chair). Travell played a significant role in the unfolding of American political history.

Reshaping Medical History

In her continuing research into the mechanisms and treatment of trigger point pain, Dr. Travell also is reshaping medical history. She defines an active myofascial trigger point as an area of hypersensitivity (about 1/16-1/8in. diameter) usually found in an abnormally tightened band of muscle. When pressed, a trigger point causes immediate local pain disproportionate to the finger pressure. In other words, lightly pressing on a muscle one inch from a trigger point might cause no discomfort, but the same pressure directly on the area of maximum sensitivity prompts immediate pain. In addition to pain, an active trigger point causes muscle weakness and restricted motion. A latent triggerpoint causes weakness and restriction, but not pain – at least not until it becomes activated.

Causes of Trigger Points

What causes trigger points? Normal, healthy muscles contain no TPs. Muscles develop TPs following acute trauma, chilling or chronic overload. Acute trauma may consist of falls, car accidents, joint sprains, a direct blow to the muscle or abnormal excessive exercise, such as packing when moving or engaging in a strenuous bout of weekend athletics. A cold draft such as that from air conditioning or open window may activate latent TPs in tired muscles.

Trigger points also develop in muscles that are chronically overloaded by poor posture, especially while working, or repeating muscle movements as in typing, playing the violin, or even knitting. Structural discrepancies, like uneven legs and pelvic bones, or short arms on a long upper body, often produce a chronic mechanical stress that activates TPs. This is why Travell prescribed left heel lifts for all of Kennedy’s shoes and custom designed seating for the president’s personal quarters, his office, helicopter, planes, boats and limousine.

In short, trigger points generally follow in the wake of muscle strain or abuse. Research has shown that manual laborers who use their muscles every day are less likely to develop TPs than are sedentary workers who occasionally overdose on tennis, volleyball or other strenuous activities.

Putting TPs to Rest

How is a trigger point inactivated? Travell teaches two main methods of putting TPs to rest: 1) “stretch and spray” and 2) procaine injection. Other methods that she recognizes as effective include ultrasound at low intensities, deep finger pressure (Myotherapy) or a properly applied massage. When the involved TPs are located and inactivated, the pain often disappears immediately. But with chronic cases involving TPs in several muscles over a long period of time, sustained relief usually requires successive treatments. The stretch and spray technique consists of applying a cold spray (vapocoolant) to a TP and its pain reference area while simultaneously and slowly stretching the muscle to its full normal length. For stubborn TPs in areas inaccessible to passive stretch, Travell injects the point with a .5% procaine solution, followed by stretch and spray.

Deep finger pressure in TPs was popularized by Bonnie Prudden in her books on Myotherapy. Prudden recommends seven seconds of sustained pressure on TPs to erase them. Other therapists press the point until the referred pain subsides. Massage (as well as other TP treatments) is “only effective if you know what you’re doing,” Travell says. “Vigorous massage of hyperirritable trigger points may markedly increase pain.”

Orange County chiropractor, Dr. Marcus Ettinger, shares simple techniques to a better quality of life. Below are 11 easy rules, that if followed, will improve the overall integrity of your back (spine and supporting muscles) while at the same time reducing the potential for the development of degenerative arthritis, low back injury and low back pain.

Always warm-up and stretch before exercise or other strenuous physical activity. If you are beginning an exercise program for the very first time or are starting back after a prolonged period of inactivity, begin your exercise program with routine, low-impact exercises. Yoga, swimming, speed walking, or stationary bike riding just 30 minutes a day can increase low back muscle strength, over-all posture and flexibility. Ask your chiropractor for a list of low-impact, ‘core stabilizing’ exercises appropriate for your age. Core stabilizing exercises focus on strengthening, in tandem, the lower back and abdominal musculature.

Don’t slouch when standing or sitting. When standing, keep your weight balanced on your feet. Your back supports weight most easily when curvature is reduced.

At home or work, make sure your work surface is at a comfortable height for you.

Sit in a chair with good lumbar support and proper position and height for the task. Keep your shoulders back. Switch sitting positions often and periodically walk around the office or gently stretch muscles to relieve tension. A pillow or rolled-up towel placed behind the small of your back can provide some lumbar support. If you must sit for a long period of time, rest your feet on a low stool or a stack of books.

Wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes with supportive arches.

Sleep on your side or back to reduce any curve in your spine. Always sleep on a firm surface.

Drink eight, eight ounces of purified water each day. 75% of the weight of the upper body is supported by water volume that is stored in the disc core; 25% is supported by fibrous material around the disc. (Batmanghelidj MD)

Don’t try to lift objects too heavy for you. Lift with your knees, pull in your stomach muscles, and keep your head down and in line with your straight back. Keep the object close to your body. Do not twist when lifting or when setting the object down.

Maintain proper nutrition and diet to reduce and prevent excessive weight, especially weight around the waistline that stresses lower back muscles. Sufficient daily intake of vitamin D, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus, along with weight-bearing exercise will help promote new bone growth.

If you smoke, quit. Smoking reduces blood flow and oxygen to the muscles and spine, causing the muscles and intervertebral ‘spinal’ discs to degenerate.

Visit a chiropractor for routine check-ups. Keeping your spine and other joints of the body are in proper alignment and moving freely with unrestricted range of motion will reduce ware and tear by keeping the body bilateral and symmetrical; it will also promote unrestricted nerve and blood flow throughout the body

Integrating prevention into ‘health’ care

Due to successes in public health over the last 75 years, we are all living longer and increasingly, we are living with one or more chronic conditions for decades. This places new, long-term demands on our health care system and our loved ones. Not only are chronic conditions projected to be the leading cause of disability throughout the world by the year 2020; if not successfully prevented and managed, they will become the most expensive problems faced by the world’s governments and healthcare systems. People with diabetes, for example, generate health care costs that are two to three times those without the condition. In this respect, chronic conditions pose a threat to all countries from a health and economic standpoint.

Many costly and disabling conditions – cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases – are linked by common preventable risk factors. Tobacco use, prolonged, unhealthy nutrition, physical inactivity, and excessive alcohol use are major causes and risk factors for these conditions. The abysmal, dwindling-spiral we call “our daily diet”, expressed through an ever increasing consumption of high calorie, high fat, high sugar, high salt and nutritionally deprived food products are contributing to the rising burden of heart disease, stroke, obesity and diabetes. Changes in activity patterns as a consequence of the rise of motorized transport, sedentary leisure-time activities such as television watching, computer and video game playing, have led to an pandemic of physical inactivity in all but the poorest populations.

Our current system of ‘disease’ care

Many of today’s medical conditions are completely preventable, yet our current healthcare system does not and will not make the best use of their available resources to support a panacea – prevention. All too often, healthcare workers (MD’s and nurses) fail to seize patient interactions as opportunities to inform patients about common-scenes health promotion techniques and disease prevention strategies.

Our current healthcare system is based solely on responding to a patient’s acute concerns. Testing, diagnosing, relieving symptoms, and expecting a cure are all hallmarks of our contemporary healthcare model. While these functions are appropriate for acute and episodic health problems, a notable disparity occurs when applying this model of care to the prevention and management of chronic conditions, the most abundant group over-burdening our healthcare system. Preventive healthcare is inherently different from healthcare for acute problems, and in this regard, our current healthcare system falls remarkably short, to the point of practically being non-existent.

How my brand of alternative medicine and preventative health care responds to this challenge?

Given that most body conditions are preventable, every healthcare interaction includes comprehensive prevention support. When my patients are systematically provided with information and skills to reduce health risks, they are more likely to reduce substance use, to stop using tobacco products, to eat healthy foods, and to engage in regular physical activity. These risk reducing behaviours can dramatically reduce the long-term burden and healthcare demands of chronic conditions; they can also contribute to vibrant health, increased vitality and youthful aging.

To promote prevention in healthcare, awareness rising is crucial to promote a change in thinking and to stimulate the commitment and action of patients, their families, healthcare professionals, communities, and policy-makers.

Essential elements for action

We all need to embrace and support a paradigm shift towards integrated, preventive health care.

Equip patients with needed information, motivation, and skills in prevention and self-management.

Make prevention an element of every healthcare interaction.

Make health promotion a fundamental component in our personal lives.

I know all of you want perfect health. It’s an unreasonable notion that most of us take better care of our car than we do our body. You can always buy a new car; you only are given one body.

Excessive negative stress has become, over the last 25 years, as much a part of our daily lives as eating and sleeping. Excessive negative stress can be physical (chronic illness, lack of exercise, over-exercising, etc.), emotional (losing a job, winning the lottery, etc.), or chemical (bad diet, drugs, medicines, alcohol, pesticides, etc.).

Excessive negative stress is most likely to be the initial predisposing factor in the cause and prolongation of a disease or illness. Again, the greater the exposure and duration to these negative stressors the greater the susceptibility to acute or chronic illness or body dysfunction.

It is also important to note that not all stress is bad or has negative effects on our bodies. Some types of stress are actually beneficial for us and can increase our immune function, overall strength, emotional well being and longevity. The most beneficial form of stress is exercise, especially swimming and weight training. This type of stress can, in moderation, even negate some of the excessive negative stress’ we face.

When our bodies are exposed to any form of negative stress our organ systems innately responds with what is known as the “fight-flight response”. During this stress induced response, many different and potentially damaging physiological reactions occur. During the initial phase, which can last for seconds to years, digestion and absorption of nutrients are greatly reduced; body tissues begin to break down; the immune system is suppressed; our heart begins to overload and the aging process is significantly accelerated. These are but a sampling of what does occur.

Individuals who are exposed to excessive negative stress may also develop a condition known as adrenal exhaustion. This condition occurs when the adrenal glands work beyond their normal capacity thus eventually shutting down (no more Cortisol, a hormone, being produced). Adrenal exhaustion presents with symptoms similar to those found in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia and hypoglycemia (see table 1).

An integrative medicine approach for the treatment of adrenal exhaustion or the effects excessive negative stress are identical. First, it’s crucial to reduce or eliminate as many negative stressors (individual stress factors) as possible.

Second, get plenty of rest, at least 8 hours, starting before midnight; engage in regular, but not excessive, exercise; greatly reduce your carbohydrates intake (bread, sweets, pasta, corn and potatoes); increase protein intake; increase fibrous vegetable intake; drink eight glasses of filtered water daily, and perform deep breathing exercises every morning and evening.

Third, nutritional and/or pharmacological support. To determine pharmacological support we must first determine thyroid and adrenal function via blood tests (thyroid panel including both thyroid antibodies and rT3), and (DHEA, cortisol and progesterone) levels. Nutritional support can be in the form of DHEA and/or Pregnenolone (10 – 50 mg daily) and/or glycerrhizin (25 – 100 mg daily – preferably in the morning). These two supplements safely support proper adrenal hormone levels. DMG (vitamin B15) and Siberian Ginseng have both been shown in Russian clinical studies to help regulate the hypothalamus, pituitary, adrenal axis. Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is the initial precursor, along with our LDL cholesterol to our adrenal hormones, whole C complex (Ester-C w/bioflavonoids) is an antioxidant for the adrenal and the highest concentration of vitamin C out side of the spinal chord and brain is found in the adrenal; and potassium are essential for proper adrenal gland function. Adrenal glandular preparations (Whole Desiccated Adrenal (short-term), Drenamin and Drenatrophin PMG) from Standard Process Inc. will also help to support the adrenal glands. These are but a few options that I have used to support the stress response of the body.

Additionally, antioxidants and supportive products like: CoQ10, glutathione, NAC, vitamin E, bioflavonoids, alpha lipoic acid, SAMe, Gabatone (Apex Energetics), L-tryptophan, magnesium and MSM, will also help reduce the overall oxidative burden placed on the body by the excessive negative stress.

With the above knowledge the road to well being and health is now a much shorter one.
